Just a Regular Day

You never know what each day will be like with this very active little boy. He has started becoming attached to certain things (weed eater, vacuum cleaner, and stuffed animals) and wanting to take them with us everywhere we go. The toy vacuum cleaner has to constantly be on or he will be very upset, even if he isn't playing with it at the moment. The stories and laughs are endless each day and we are so blessed by this little man more and more. His sweet kisses just melt our hearts even though they tend to be a little slobbery. We are always looking forward to the next adventure with him which usually brings along lots of laughs.

Standing inside his new toy bucket with the vacuum cleaner.
about to fall out of the bucket, on purpose

This is what we like to call Multi-Tasking at 20 months old. Read a book and keep the floor clean. Maybe when he is older he will be able to vacuum and play video games at the same time!

13.1

This past weekend I took on the Country Music 1/2 Marathon in Nashville. It was pretty much a race to beat the major storms that were set to hit Nashville around 10:30 that morning. I was able to finish before the storm but did get rained on walking to our car. It was a great race with tons of spectators and live music throughout the course. I was one of 32,000 people running that morning and really did have fun! There were more hills on the course than I had ever imagined, pretty sure there was not much flat land to run on.

somewhere along the 13.1 mile route

We also celebrated Tim's birthday while we were in Nashville. Friday night we had a wonderful dinner and a yummy cake to celebrate. It was so fun to have everyone together.

excited about the ice cream cake he was about to eat

Little Cleaner

Rhodes has started mimicking everything that we do. When Drew is cleaning he throws the towel over his shoulder and grabs a bottle of cleaner, notice what the little man is doing. He wants to be just like daddy.

Very smart boy reading all of the directions before using this on any of our furniture.

Weekend with J & J

We had a wonderful week/ weekend with two of our great friends. Jared (JWood) came and led worship for our students on Wednesday night. Our students love JWood and were excited for him to be back with us after having him here for Move Weekend. Jancy also came to visit for a couple of days, which was tons of fun. Rhodes loved getting all of the attention from both of them.

A Week Around the House

We bought Rhodes some new yogurt at the store this week and let him try it for the first time last night. He has just started drinking out of a straw so we weren't sure how this would go. As you can see from the pictures, he LOVED it!

all done and wanting more

He got these bowling pins for Christmas and decided they were more fun to use as drumsticks on the coffee table.

Loving his new toys, thanks Kat

Easter in Ripley

All the food, fun, and Easter egg hunts began on Saturday. It was such a beautiful day outside and to be able to spend it with family made it even better. This was the first year for Rhodes to hunt eggs and we were not sure how it would go. He caught on very quickly and had even more fun when he realized there were treats inside the eggs. Thanks Kat and Pops for a fun weekend in Ripley.
